The vast majority of the storage tank areas in the petrochemical system are located in sparsely populated wilderness areas, with relatively harsh surrounding environments. However, direct exposure of oil tanks to sunlight can easily cause local high temperatures, and even lead to fires due to the development of oil and gas volatilization to a certain concentration. For a long time, it has been difficult to monitor the temperature of the outer wall of oil tanks in real time because oil tanks are located in the wilderness and their storage materials are high-risk products – various oil products. The reliability, real-time performance, and inherent safety of traditional temperature sensing fire monitoring systems used in hazardous chemical areas are difficult to ensure. So, in recent years, there have been multiple fire accidents in the storage tank area, causing huge economic losses.

The oil tank fiber optic grating temperature detection and alarm system is designed to monitor the temperature parameters of key parts on the oil tank in real time, targeting the working and operating conditions of petrochemical companies. System structure
