Fiber optic thermometer for power equipment
Power equipment requires various temperature measurement devices, such as fluorescent fiber optic temperature measurement for switchgear and distributed fiber optic temperature measurement for power cables. Fuzhou Yingnuo provides power equipment fiber optic temperature measurement systems that are anti-interference, high-voltage resistant, and insulated, and have been widely used in various power equipment applications.

Fluorescent fiber optic thermometer for power equipment switchgear

The fluorescent fiber optic temperature measurement of power switchgear is an electrical equipment. The external line of the switchgear first enters the main control switch inside the cabinet, and then enters the sub control switch. The main function of the switchgear is to open, control, and protect electrical equipment during the process of power generation, transmission, distribution, and energy conversion in the power system. The components inside the switchgear mainly include circuit breakers, isolation switches, load switches, operating mechanisms, transformers, and various protective devices.

High voltage switchgear refers to electrical products used for power generation, transmission, distribution, energy conversion, and consumption in the power system to perform functions such as switching, control, or protection. During long-term operation, the switch contacts and busbar connections of high-voltage switchgear may generate heat due to aging or excessive contact resistance. If the temperature of these heating parts continues to rise, it will lead to fire accidents and cause widespread power outages. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the temperature of high-voltage switchgear online, achieve timely warning and maintenance, and improve the reliability of power supply. In existing technology, the following methods are commonly used to monitor the temperature of high-voltage switchgear:

1、 The temperature measurement method using thermocouples, thermistors, semiconductor temperature sensors, etc. requires metal wires to transmit signals, and the insulation performance cannot be guaranteed;

2、 The temperature measurement method adopts fiber optic temperature sensors, which transmit temperature signals through optical fibers. Its characteristics include anti-interference, high voltage resistance, insulation, and accurate temperature measurement;

3、 The non-contact temperature measurement method of infrared temperature measurement is susceptible to interference from the environment and surrounding electromagnetic fields, and the space inside the cabinet is very small, making it impossible to install an infrared temperature probe. It is required that the measured point be unobstructed in the field of view and have a clean surface to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results;

Distributed fiber optic thermometer for power cables

With the rapid development of the economy, fields such as subways, nuclear power plants, and optoelectronic communication are developing at an unprecedented speed, and the amount of electricity used is also rapidly increasing. Various large-scale power plants have emerged, and the performance of transmission cables is also being tested unprecedentedly. For the field of ultra-high voltage electrical energy transmission, especially in the nuclear power field, a large amount of heat is generated by the wires during the working process, causing the cables to heat up. Traditional material cables are prone to aging and cracking under such high temperature and high voltage conditions for a long time. After cracking, the wires will be exposed, and the harsh environment outside the cables, such as oil and water, chemical corrosion, biological biting, etc., also constantly damages the protective layer of the cables, which poses significant safety hazards to people’s lives and property.
